Moisture represents the greatest threat to all the components it comes into contact with. The trouble starts with the formation of bacteria at a relative compressed-air humidity of around 70 %. As from a relative humidity of 40 %, the corresponding corrosion curve will rise steeply.
A quick and economic solution to the moisture problem is
offered by the DRYPOINT® RA compressed-air refrigeration dryer. With
most applications, the compressed service air merely requires cooling
and drying in the range of normal values: cooling close to
0 °C and thus almost 100 % condensing of the water vapour contained
in the compressed air. DRYPOINT® RA ensures the effective separation
of compressed air and water vapour. The resulting condensate is then reliably
discharged using a BEKOMAT® condensate drain.
