Installation

Area of application

METPOINT FLM can be used in compressed air networks subsequent to air treatment. For this purpose a suitable upstream and downstream section needs to be available. The connection to the compressed air system is effected via a ball valve and can be carried out under pressure.

Measuring section preconditions
A suitable inlet and outlet section is required to ensure accurate measurement results.

Undisturbed flow is obtained by providing a sufficiently long section up-stream of the sensor (inlet section L1) and downstream of the sensor (outlet section L2). These sections must be absolutely straight and without any obstacles such as edges, seams, bends, etc.

The design of the outlet section is equally important because obstacles to flow will create turbulence, which will not only have an impact in the direction of air flow but also counter to the flow.

If desired, BEKO can supply optional measuring sections for FS109 consumption probes.

The following table shows the necessary calming sections in relation to given obstacles. Stated here are the required minimum values. If the specified calming sections cannot be provided, the user must expect greater or considerable deviations of the measurement results.
